Meek’s Lumber & Hardware today announced donations totaling $4,400 to the Vacaville K-9 Police Unit. The canines perform narcotics searches and patrol the city while also helping to apprehend criminals.

Over the course of last weekend, May 28 – May 30, the Vacaville Meek’s location (1000 Hume Way) collected donations for the K-9 Unit from customers and vendors. In addition, Meek’s chose to donate a portion of the weekend’s sales back to the unit. Meek’s jumped at the opportunity to give back to the community that has given so much to them.
